A striking Scandinavian pendant lamp from the 1960s, combining a cylindrical frosted glass diffuser with a sculptural metal shade.
The outer shade is formed from a series of cut vertical metal fins, finished in black with a contrasting red interior. The openings create a graphic play of light around the frosted glass cylinder, while the restrained geometry gives the lamp a distinctly architectural character.
The original designer and manufacturer have not yet been identified. The construction and materials are consistent with Scandinavian lighting of the period.
