French coffee table dating from the late 1960s, combining a patinated steel frame with a large hand-decorated ceramic tile top.
The composition alternates textured blue-green and terracotta-toned tiles with a series of expressive decorative panels depicting stylised flowers, leaves and abstract organic forms. The deliberately irregular glazes and graphic motifs give the table a particularly strong late-1960s character.
The architectural steel base has a gently curved central stretcher and retains its original aged surface, with oxidation, marks and wear that complement the ceramic top.
